Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the website (honeybeartrees.com) and your agreement to services provided by Redwood City Tree Service. By accessing our website or requesting tree care services, you agree to these terms.

1. Scope of Estimates & Proposals

All estimates provided by Redwood City Tree Service are based on visual inspection of site conditions at the time of assessment. Unforeseen subsurface obstacles (such as unmapped buried utilities, rock ledges, or septic lines) or internal trunk decay voids may require adjustments to work scope upon consultation with the property owner.

2. Licensing, Insurance & Compliance

All tree work is conducted under California CSLB C-61/D49 licensing regulations. We carry $2,000,000 in commercial general liability insurance and comprehensive statutory workers' compensation. Certificates of insurance are available upon written request.

3. Permits & Municipal Ordinances

Property owners are ultimately responsible for complying with municipal tree preservation ordinances (such as Redwood City Municipal Code Section 29 governing trees 12 inches DBH or greater). Our ISA Certified Arborists assist with preparing permit documentation and arborist reports.

4. Property Access & Underground Utilities

Property owners must ensure clear access to work areas and identify any private underground lines (e.g., landscape lighting, low-voltage wiring, private irrigation) not marked by California 811 Underground Service Alert.

5. Notice of Business Independence

Redwood City Tree Service operates on the historic local heritage of Honey Bear Trees on Woodside Road, now providing year-round licensed arborist care and tree service not affiliated with seasonal retail conifer sales.

6. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the County of San Mateo.
